Weight Loss Advice - The Beginning

I am a chiropractor I have been practicing for over 15 years and I have literally helped thousands of people in pain. Even though chiropractic is amazing and helps a lot of people, I am going to switch gears hear and talk about something that has an even bigger impact to peoples' health. That subject is nutrition.

Approximately 66% or 2 out of 3 people in the united states that are reading this article now in 2010 are either overweight or obese, and that number is growing. I think that that number is projected to reach 90% of the population. That is pretty sad. Too many health problems occur today because of bad nutrition. I guarantee that most women want to have a sexy bikini body and most men want to have a muscular body and they want to show it off. Some people have had a great body and lost it. Some people have been overweight their entire adult life and do not even think it is possible. I can tell you this, that for most people weight loss is possible.


Now I want to get in your head! That is where it all starts!

This is very important for you to understand. Weight loss is a life style. Your body is a reflection of your life style. If you are heavy, it is because you live a lifestyle that creates a heavy body. If you are thin, then you live a lifestyle that creates a thin body. If you are in or out of shape, that is also a result of your lifestyle. Yes there are always exceptions to the rule but they are few are far between. So what I want to do is give you lifestyle changes. Baby steps. So you can see results with abdominal fat loss and improvements in your health. As you see these improving taking place in your body, I hope that it will inspire and excite you to not only maintain these lifestyle changes that I recommend and but to also make even more improvements.

We have to create new neural habits for you. You brain is different from a computer. A computer has hardware that does not change. It has memory that stores data. You add new data to your computer and retrieve it from memory. Your brain is a learning machine. Every time it learns something new it re-wires itself creating new neural pathways. After approximately 3 weeks of a performing a new behavior enough neural pathways should be created that a habit will be formed.
